The post office is active in Jamaica. The post office offers these services:

• Zip Mail - documents and parcels delivered the NEXT BUSINESS DAY from your door.
• Registered Mail - A secure way to send your important letters and parcels in 2 - 3 days and package is indemnified for loss. There is also International Registered Mail - delivered in 7 to 14 business days.
• FastTrack -a guaranteed way to send documents to Asia, Western Europe, Africa, Latin America and most of the Caribbean and you can easily track your mail items.
• International Express Mail Service (EMS) - Ship documents and packages using EMS to 17 countries in the Caribbean, North America, Europe and Latin America and have your item arrive within 3 - 5 days.
• International Parcels - either Ordinary by Air in approximately 14 business days or Surface Air Lift (SAL) in 6 to 8 weeks. There is Express Mail Service is to select countries in 3 - 5 business days to the destination country.

These services are supported by online tracking and customer service assistance. Jamaica Post gives you the option to Manage Your Mail using Mail Forwarding - if you changing your address permanently or temporarily; and Hold at Post Office - i.e., Suspend mail delivery while you are temporarily away from home for up to 3 months.

There is a post office in every parish. In fact some parishes have as many as 24. Add to that postal agencies and you know Jamaica is well covered by the service.
