Milan

 Accommodation

Finding Accommodation, Flatsharing, Hostels

In Milan, you might spend about €1,000 per month for a two-bedroom apartment. You could buy a studio for about €80,000, and would need about twice that for something with a balcony, a view or a fashionable address.

You can consult Secondamano (http://www.secondamano.it) to get an idea of prices and availability in Milan. It's a weekly newspaper (and a website) of free adverts that you can find such as accommodation, real estates, jobs, cars... You will have to register (free)online to access the ads.

This town is very fast and dynamic and it's easy for a stranger to live and drive around. There are lots of industries, and offices spread all over the town. That's why commuting is not a problem (you can use the metro!). The tradition of fashion designer and the status of financial heart of Italy has attracted a lot of expatriates but also kas distorted a bit the value of the goods.
