The ultra-distinct National Theatre holds fairly regularly performances - although obtaining a schedule can at times be difficult. The theatre is home to the National Symphony Orchestra of Ghana, the National Dance Company and the National Drama Company. A number of youth groups also operate out of it.

Museums

Accra offers a number of museums that chronicle the country's history and culture. The National Museum is by far the most impressive of them all.

• National Museum of Ghana: Artefacts from Ghanaian culture and the slave trade.
• WEB Du Bois Centre Museum: Dedicated to the civil rights and Pan-African leader, and located in his former Ghanaian home.
• Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park Museum: A small museum and memorial park dedicated to Ghana's first President and independence leader.
• The Museum of Science and Technology: Founded in 1963, this museum chronicles Ghana's history with science and technology.
