Silverbird Cinemas are located in the Accra Mall and the West Hills Mall. These cinemas show a collection of current films in English. Show times are available online. A few other places - like the Alliance Française d'Accra - also show unique movies from time to time.

Otherwise, pirated DVDs are readily sold street side for bargain prices.

Nightclubs

Ghana's night club scene is emerging slowly. In recent years, a number of trendy clubs have opened up around Oxford Street and Embassy Road. Most serve dinner early in the evening before they really get going on weekend nights. Cover charges vary considerably, and entry is generally not difficult.

• Republic Bar: Located on Oxford Street, this new bar has hosted some incredible West African talent. Coupled with inventive cocktails and excellent snacks, this is one of the city's more popular clubs.
• Bella Roma: Located on Oxford Street behind Frankies, this restaurant/lounge/club opens around 6pm for dinner. Things pick up as the evening progresses, with music and people spilling out from the many rooms onto the outdoor patio.
