Prague has a long tradition of hospitality having hosted generations of travellers. Hotel prices within the centre are very high, especially considering the lower cost of living in general. Looking for places just outside of the centre can offer much better prices, although there may be a less traditional hotel environment. Prague does offer an enthusiastic party scene for late night revelers, so if that does not sound like you, you may try to avoid the Old Town.
