Private Medical Insurance in Andorra

Every citizen in Andorra is covered for health treatment under social security.

However, people who can afford it, they voluntarily purchase private health insurance packages, which offer a wider choice of medical practitioners and hospitals, and more importantly, frees them from public health waiting lists.

The European Health Insurance Card

Andorra is not a European Union member. Therefore, the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), does not provide health cover in Andorra. Make sure you have comprehensive travel and medical insurance that is valid for travel to non-EU countries.
