You will have worked hard to reach the stage of buying a home. Buying a house will probably be the biggest purchase that you will make in your life.

Buying a house in Ireland normally takes a few months. Patience is essential. It is important to work closely with your solicitor and to keep him/her informed of any new developments.

    The process is :

    • Find the best mortgage with a bank or a broker
    • Hire a solicitor (look on the Golden Pages)
    • Find your dream home (look on Daft.ie)
    • Have a valuation of your house by your bank for around €100
    • Have house insurance
    • Have a mortgage protection policy with your bank
    • Sign the contract

This is a quick process and you should get an appointment with you bank to get all the details For further information, you can have a look to http://www.traceysolicitors.ie/buying-selling.html
