• Lime Tree Cafe - Jumeirah Beach Road. Unlicensed coffee shop / cafe serving good food. Pleasant outdoor seating area.
• Browse House Cafe - Sheikh Zayed Road. Friendly, unpretentious internet cafe
• Bahri Bar - Jumeirah. Great views of the bay, traditional Arabian theme to the decor. The Arabian tapas are recommended
• The Irish Village - the Aviation Club, Garhoud. Relaxed atmosphere, live music most nights and good food
• Longs Bar - Basement, Towers Rotana Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road. Popular pre-clubbing bar, serving good food
• Panini Cafe - Grand Hyatt Hotel. Good value lunch venue offering Italian deli style food

Restaurants

• Al Dawaar Revolving Restaurant - Hyatt Regency Hotel, Deira. Renowned for it's sumptuous buffet and spectacular views. Booking is advisable.
• Seville - Wafi City (pyramids complex), Bur Dubai. Spanish specialities and tapas
• Pier Chic - Madinat Jumeirah, entry via Al Qasr hotel. Stunning location on a pier overlooking the water and the famous Burj Al Arab hotel.
• Danial - Twin Towers, Deira. Serving a buffet with a wide variety of Arabic and Persian food
• Al Hambra - Al Qasr Hotel, Jumeirah. Spanish/Morrocan restaurant

Tipping

Tipping is not expected, but is common practice. The majority of restaurants will add a service charge, usually 10% in Dubai, to your bill. Taxi drivers do not expect to be tipped.
