Dubai has a good selection of cinemas, often large multiplexes, showing the majority of films in English. US films are usually shown in Dubai about two months after their release in the USA.

Nightclubs

The legal age for drinking in Dubai is 21, and night clubs will not allow entry to anyone under this age. Many nightclubs only allow entry to those over 25 years old and all enforce a dress code, banning jeans, sandals and trainers. The majority of establishments that are allowed to serve alcohol are located in the city's many large international hotels.

• Zinc - Crowne Plaza Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road. Popular club with nightclub, restaurant and bar areas.
• Trilogy - at the entrance of the Souk Madinat Jumeirah. With a capacity of 2000, plus 400 in the rooftop bar, this is one of Dubai's biggest nightclubs. Very funky, very, very expensive!
