The normal working week in Denmark varies between 7 and 7.5 hours per day, five days per week. Sunday opening is restricted by law and even Saturday opening hours are short, so if you have a job which involves some weekend work, it is not likely to take up too significant a part of your weekend.

Danish employees can accrue a considerable amount of holiday time, based on their length of service. Some long-standing employees may have as much as 7 weeks annual holiday entitlement. There are 11 public holidays in Denmark.
