If you lose your job in Argentina, you may apply for unemployment benefits until you obtain a new job. Unemployment benefits are usually not available if you receive other benefits. Applications must be initiated within 90 days of termination.

Benefits are calculated on a base of 41.5% of the highest net monthly wage received in the previous six months. The maximum benefit is AR$ 300 and the minimum is AR$ 150/month.

The length of eligibility is based on  the total time on the job.

Additional benefits are available for applicants with family or other dependents, based on household income.
