Post offices are located in numerous locations ins Buenos Aires. The hours are weekdays from 10am to 8pm and Saturday from 10am until 1pm. The main post office (Correo Central) is located at Av. Sarmiento 151 (tel. 11/4311-5040). In addition, the post office works with locutorios that offer limited mailing services.

Airmail postage for a letter 20 grams or less from Argentina to North America, Europe and other countries is 4 pesos, or about US$1.35 (80p).  Other letter prices are relatively high: a 30-gram letter is about US$3 (£1.60). Parcel rates, on the other hand, are as little as US$15 (£7.95) for a one-kilogram package.

Mail requires between seven to 10 days to reach the United States or Europe.

The OCA is a private postal service with significantly more expensive mailing rates than the government post office.

Solution to using internationally shipping to receive packages in BA
There is a new company in Buenos Aires called SendLoveBA.com that takes orders online and creates/delivers them here in Buenos Aires.

I've been living here for a few years and my parents tried to send packages that never arrived. They even tried to send flowers and the same thing happened.

I sent a link to my parents to check out the company and they ordered me a care package...it arrived at my door within a week and it was amazing. Homemade brownies, bagels (with real Philly cream cheese), carrot cake cupcakes and a jar of Skippy peanut butter.

Its perfect for expat/study abroad kids in BA whose parents want to send a gift and not pay a ton for FedEx that prob won't even get here till 2020.

    heres the link: www.sendloveba.com
