From a foreign country, it is generally necessary to dial 00 and 32 to reach Belgium.

There are several providers, but to be connected to the network, you must only contact one company: Begacom [http://www.belgacom.be - Tel: 0800 33 800 (French) or 0800 55 800 (English)]. The request must be done in advance, on forms, in the closest Belgacom office from your residence (see the phone directory to find it). Those shops deal with all the questions: connection, phone call costs, subscriptions, claims, etc.

When you are connected, you can choose your provider:

    Phone directory: http://www.pagesdor.be
    European directory: http://www.infobel.com

    Pre-paid cards

Before to call, you just need to dial the phone nmber of the provider and enter the code on your card. One of the leaders on the card market is XL Call. Those cards are usually sold in bookshops and newsagents, in supermarkets and corner shops.
