    In 2006 there were more than 14 million active mobile phone connections in Greece. 83% of Greeks between the ages of 15 and 65 years have a mobile, and 99% of those between 12 and 18 years have at least one mobile phone.

    The four major mobile phone companies in Greece are:

    • Vodafone,
    • Tim,
    • Cosmote
    • Q telecom.

    Most mobile phone users relocating to Greece can simply buy a Greek sim card to replace their regular one.
