If your employer is a large international company, they may offer you membership of their corporate pension scheme. If you are an EU citizen, your contributions towards Danish social security will count towards your eventual state pension.

Non-EU employees will also make contributions towards the Danish state pension scheme, but are able to request that these are refunded when leaving the country.
