The Netherlands is surrounded by countries from the European Union, and is
part of the Schengen area for freedom of movement. This makes travel really
easy within the Schengen area. Quite often, you won't even feel like you've
crossed a border between two countries as you can just drive through two Schengen
countries. Also with the euro, you won't even feel the change in currency.
If you are a member of the European Union, you won't
have any declaration to make when entering the Netherlands.
As a general point, we will distinguish between a travel within the European
Union and outside the EU space.
